ABOUT SADATU
I’m the heart behind Milly’s Market. As a native New Yorker of Nigerian and Caribbean descent, food has always been central to my life both as a source of nourishment and as a way to bring people together.
I began my journey into food justice over a decade ago while raising my son in Brooklyn. Frustrated by the lack of fresh, healthy options in our neighborhood, I started a series of pop-up farm stands and plant-based dinners that grew into a mission to transform how New Yorkers accessed and connected with New York cultivated food.
With over 30 years of experience in NYC’s hospitality industry, I’ve worked in top restaurants and organized community events that celebrate the culinary and cultural richness of our city. As a certified integrative nutrition health coach and urban agriculture advocate, I weave sustainability, wellness, and culture into everything I do.
Milly’s Market is my way of giving back to the city that shaped me, one fresh bundle and one meaningful connection at a time. Through Milly’s curated online farmer’s market, delivery service, and pay-it-forward model, I’m building a New York where everyone has access to nutritious affordable food.
